Best Jeans for Pear Shaped Figures- Lucky Brand Sweet-N-Lows

by Jane Diane Matthews on September 28, 2009

For over 18 months I worked for Lucky Dungarees in their Upper East Side location, and was one of the top sellers for my region. Whenever a pear shaped lass would walk through our doors, I would make sure they would try on a pair of Sweet-n-Low jeans and 8 out of 10 times, they would claim that those were the perfectly constructed jeans for their shape. For some awful reason Lucky discontinued the cut but they are finally back in stock and ready to flatter your fanny. My new personal favorites (on my personal wish list) are the Shelby Sweet N Lows http://www.luckybrand.com/Shelby-Sweet-N-Low-Jeans/LBJ10173,default,pd.html?navid=search&selectedColor=460.
Look closely at the photo and please do not kid yourself. The photo depicts a very slim model who is more “spaghetti strand shaped” then our demo. However when you zoom in, you will notice there is space in the rear. Chances are we will fill that out and that is okay, because when we do, we will rock it hard!
If you are interested in purchasing a pair of these jeans let me give you some professional fitting advice. Go to your nearest location and make sure to try on not only what size you think you are, but even go one size lower! To get the most flatter fit from the Sweet-N-Low shimmying into the jeans is part of the deal. Seriously, when you are trying them on, if you can get them over your thighs and close them one to two inches below your navel you have mastered the battle. The jeans should feel snug at first and lock at the waist. As you wear them they will stretch out everywhere except for the waist. With a fit like that there will be no need for constantly pulling up your jeans, you will not risk a muffin top and the crack of your butt will not stick out inappropriately.

For over 18 months I was a Senior Assistant Store Manager for Lucky Dungarees and was one of the top sellers for my region. Whenever a pear-shaped-lass would walk through our doors, I would make sure they would try on a pair of Sweet-N-Low jeans and 9 out of 10 times, they were astonished that I found their perfect jeans on the first try.

The bad news, about a year ago Lucky discontinued the cut and my heart was broken and concerns about never finding the right jean for my posterior haunted my dreams. Fruity friends, rejoice as they are back and truly better then ever. The best of the lot and the one I am saving my pennies for are the trouser styled, dark denim, slightly flared  Shelby Sweet-N-Lows.
